Wiley's opened in Rockland, in May 2023. Dedicated to providing delicious food to the Midcoast, using local farmers, butchers and fishermen. Wiley's is named after the great grandmother of Kyle Apel, sole owner and operator of Wiley's. Apel is an 11-year veteran of the industry. He grew up from aways but found his calling in Maine. After working in fine dining and 3 Michelin star restaurants in NYC, quaint, award winning bed and breakfast/ wedding venues in Vermont and American taverns and speakeasies in Jersey City, among many other adventures. Wiley's seeks to combine all the experiences and flavors that Apel has found over the years to present delicious food, as it should be.
The breakfast sandwich was terrific, served inside a warm, slightly crisped bread roll. Orders seemed especially busy for the one-man kitchen. The first sunny, mild morning in a while made the garden seating especially nice.
Tried their new taco menu and it was delicious! The chorizo taco and chicken burrito were excellent!
Breakfast sandwich was great! Super crispy bacon, fresh soft bread, and the tomato jam was a nice addition. Shady outdoor seating was perfect for a hot summer day.
I stopped here to share a breakfast sandwich with my fiancee. It was so good, that we came back the next day and each had to get one for ourselves! It's clear that the owner is an amazing chef. I highly recommend the sausage on the sandwich.
Wiley's is a great add to Main St. A quick but relaxed lunch option that's tasty and a good value. I grabbed a chicken burrito to go and it was ready hot and great when i walked up. The man in the booth -- Wiley? I guess? -- is friendly and seems to really be into delivering quality. Thanks for being there, Wiley!
